These are the same straps purchased for our company-sponsored class, and highly recommended by our instructor. They seem like pretty indestructible straps if they are used in yoga studios in so many places! I originally got another brand in 6'. After using these in class, I found I needed the little bit extra length of the 8'. Also, the other brand had a metal end cover–which initially I thought "oh it's so sturdy!" until I pulled to loosen and that metal cap cracked me in the head! And that metal tip seemed to keep hitting me every time I tried to rearrange the strap! Bad karma there. I purchased the metal D-ring version but also used the plastic buckle in class–both are real nice and very easy to use. I can't remember my reasoning for buying the metal D-rings when I had that incident with the other metal object, but I haven't hurt myself with this strap at all! I think someone else recommended the metal versus plastic since plastic can break faster than metal? I dunno. I don't pick one over the other in class though, and this is for home use only. In a nutshell, it is very tightly woven cotton, sturdy but soft to the touch. Great for reclining big toe pose (aka strap around foot and hold leg in air by strap). If in doubt, go with the 8' length so you don't try something new and think "if only I'd gotten the longer one!" Hugger Mugger products seem to be the industry standard for good reason.

Very solid, secure belt.
This is a great yoga belt. It is thick and also a good width. And the material feels nice against the skin. The rings are also nice and thick and it easy to slip the strap through for adjusting the length. I purchased some cheaper yoga straps before, and you do get what you pay for. These are going to last me a very long time. If you want a quality strap that feels like what a good studio offers, I recommend these. They are an excellent value.

Perfect for stretching
PERFECT for stretching, that’s all I can say! The canvas material is nice and sturdy and the rest of the strap is constructed very well. The metal rings also hold up nicely during different stretching exercises, however they can be a little dangerous when they swing around or hit you when you’re not paying attention to the strap.

Strap is excellent quality, D rings are solid
I purchased a yoga kit prior to this order that contained a 6ft strap. As I am a plus sized woman currently, it wasn’t nearly the length I needed, even at only 5ft3, to reach for some of the wrap around uses of the yoga strap. This strap works for EVERY USE, even if you are larger bodied! Definitely worth dealing with the excess strap on some of the other positions. I am able to reach positions I never have before!!! Strap is excellent quality, D rings are solid. Very nice.

This is an extra long yoga strap which is great for us plus-sized yogis. Can sometimes be a little too long but better longer than shorter! Great quality too!
