Perfect for Zwift!
I've been cycling for decades outdoors and indoors on a trainer during bad weather/winter months. Since Covid19 popped up into all of our lives like an angry leprechaun, I was in desperate need to find a source that made the exponential growth of indoor rides more entertaining… that's when Zwift entered my life!!!! I already owned a smart watch with a heart rate monitor at the wrist so when connecting to the game, I would "project" my HR to add to my ZPOWER and stats. Wrist HR is already not as reliable as chest but the worst part was anytime I stood up in my bike seat (vs leaning forward in the aero position), my heart rate would disconnect to the laptop. I didn't want to shell out $70-80 on a HR chest strap just for indoor biking so I thought I'd take a gamble on this $35 gizmo with some decent reviews… Upon arrival I was surprised to find how easy this HR chest strap was to set-up! Actually, it felt like NO set-up at all really – just slightly wet the strap, attach to body, listen for the two beep chirp, and all your gadgets and doodads find it likety-split! My Garmin Vivoactive 3 synced to it, my bike computer (Garmin Edge 500 that only reads ANT+) found it, and most importantly, my laptop with ZWIFT that prefers Bluetooth quickly grabbed my HR waves right out of the sky (aka living room space). I've attached photos with my stats on Zwift before wearing a chest strap and then with chest strap. You can see how my wrist HR dropped out several times. The chest NEVER dropped out – not even once! That's also with shifting around on my seat, sitting up, and having my bike slightly farther away from the computer. Always connected and sending HR to all of my devices at the same time! 🙂 I've only had this chest strap for a few weeks, but it's seen a lot of time and a whole lot of sweat in that time frame. Hopefully it'll hold up as months go on since we don't know how long the coronavirus will keep us indoors? Oh and I cheated on Zwift a few times with Rouvy and this HR works just as great with that program as well. 🙂 Cheers!!!

Thank you for your feedback

This heart rate monitor works great and pairs quickly with my fitness apps and devices. The readings are accurate and consistent during workouts, whether I am running or cycling.

The strap is soft, adjustable, and stays in place comfortably even during intense exercise. The battery life is solid and easy to replace when needed.

I have several HRM monitors and I also have the previous version from CooSpo, which has been in service for me for just over 2 years now. I would think this one will have similar, if not better service reliability.

Just like the previous model, I was able to easily connect this to my cycling computers, MacBook Pro (For Trainerroad), and Strava and Wahoo on my iPhone 6. Connection is easy and as you can see in the picture, the ID is printed on the back to help you identify when pairing.

The new design has a lower profile, which I like better and the white color is nice as it helps me locate it in my equipment box, which is black and full of other mostly black stuff – gloves, saddle bag, etc…

Another really nice feature is this unit has an audible chirp accompanied by a flashing LED when it comes online.

The strap is interchangeable with the previous model and a few other brands. I have purchased extra straps from CooSpo in the past on Amazon for about $12.00, and they come in color options as well.

Testing it against 2 other HRMs, it seems to be spot on with heart beat rate reporting. I could not find any fluctuations or misreads in my Heart Rate graph on my Trainerroad workouts.

If you are looking for a good and reliable HRM at a savings and comparable to big name brands, this is the one for you.

NOTE*** Always put a fresh battery in immediately after purchase! I have found with my previous HRM and a Speed Sensor, that the batteries that shipped were generic and probably been on the shelf for quite some time. IF you have problems not long after purchase and did not change the battery, that will likely be the issue. Some of these devices behave glitchy when under powered. Also, I have found to have the best results with Duracell over any other brand.

The Coospo heart rate monitor does what it advertises for the first eleven months. It provides an accurate heart rate that is updated every second or two, and it is fairly comfortable to wear. Compared to the competition, it offers good value for your money.
I bought this because my cheap sports watch provided a heart rate that was wildly inaccurate. Now I can get an accurate heart rate while running, and train via high intensity interval training.
I haven't had an issue with wearing the band. When I put it on, it beeps twice, indicating that it is working. After the initial 2 beeps, it doesn't make any additional sounds. Be sure to apply a few drops of water on the electrodes on the band before wearing.
I tried several free sports apps, and settled on Sports Tracker. This app provides all the details I need while I'm running, and then afterwards with a graph of heart rate.
Update: Had an issue with the battery. I used the monitor twice over a one week period for about 2 hours, and after a week, the battery was dead. (It was reading 2.97 volts, when a new battery was reading 3.27 volts). So I tried separating the monitor from the strap, hoping this will shut off the monitor and not drain the battery. Will update later. If separating the monitor from the strap when done exercising solves the issue, then I'll be satisfied.
Update 2: After changing the battery 3 times, checking voltages, etc, I just can't get the unit to work. It won't beep twice when I put it on. It worked great for eleven months, but has now failed. Oh well, it worked great for eleven months.

I've been struggling to decide what to write up about the Coospo Heart Rate Monitor because I couldn't find the time to test it out well with any of the recommended apps. I've been using it for about four months now and on a near-daily basis and finally figured I'd put down my thoughts on it regardless of not having used any other apps besides connecting it to my NordicTrack 2450 Treadmill. It quickly and immediately was recognized by my treadmill. It very accurately allows the treadmill to adjust my workouts based on my heart rate, and is a marvelous way to optimize my workouts and maximize the health benefits I'm getting from my treadmill. I compared the continuous heart rate readings provided by the Coospo monitor with the information provided by my Amazon Halo monitor and they are always within one or two heart beats apart from each other, but mostly the exact same. So that tells me that both the Halo and this Coospo monitor are spot-on accurate at low to very high heart rates. My resting heart rate is around 60 and my max heart rate is around 170; in all instances and throughout this range, the Coospo has functioned flawlessly.

Just for grins, I tried installing a couple of the recommended apps included in the instructions, as well as a couple of highly rated apps from the Android store and, quite frankly, while I mostly had no issues setting them up, I really didn't find a need for having any other apps. I also didn't like that they were intrusive and nearly always asked you to set up an account, login ID, password, etc. I have enough accounts and passwords already that I didn't need anything else. I'm going to stick to just using it for running and walking on my treadmill. If I should decide to go running outside (it's hot here in Arizona) again, I'll reinstall Map My Run and try that out.

Battery Life: The battery lasted just over three months, which worked out to be about 100 to 120 hours of total use. I noticed that a few times the Coospo monitor failed to connect right away with my treadmill so I figured it was time to try a new battery. Maybe the battery that came with the monitor wasn't good, but in any case, I find it hard to accept their 300 hour battery life claim. Just make sure you dry the strap and disconnect the monitor from the strap to preclude having the monitor automatically turning itself off, which would run down the battery. This, plus not having a low battery indicator (at least I couldn't find it in the instructions) was why I downgraded it one star. It's a great monitor, just wish it had a better way of monitoring the battery life. Oh, PS You can buy 4 to 6 name brand (Energizer, Duracell) batteries for about $5 on Amazon. So if you do the math, it'll cost you about $5 a year for batteries…not bad for something that does a good job tracking your heartbeat.
