Perfect Entry-Level Running Watch!
The Garmin Forerunner 55 is an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate runners. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and packed with features like GPS tracking, heart rate monitoring, and suggested workouts. The battery life is fantasticâI can go days without charging even with regular use.I love how user-friendly it is, with clear menus and a simple setup process. The pace and distance tracking are accurate, and the post-run stats in the Garmin Connect app are super detailed. If you’re looking for a reliable running companion without breaking the bank, this is the one!

Great for All Runners!
My son is a trail runner and has wanted a Garmin for a while! We got it for him and he loves it. So easy to use, very comfortable and charged super fast. Itâs been really nice for him to track his steps, miles, sleep, heart rate, respiration etc. He also works in a warehouse so this is an easy way for him to track his steps at work as well. highly recommend this for beginner to veteran runners! Great price for a great watch.

Great Garmin watch at a nice price.
I couldn’t resist during the black Friday sale. At first I was disappointed in the display. It’s not like what the pictures show. If you have an amoled display watch , this will be a downgrade. However , I bought this mainly to wear at work and for my evening walks and find that the display works out well. It’s easy to see but also discreet at the same time. Others may not notice it and try read messages etc.,. I also like the smaller size compared to many more current watches.Love the battery life!I’m a big Garmin fan and while this watch is dated tech at this point, it is still a great entry level smart/fitness watch.

Lovin’ this new Garmin watch and still haven’t even had to charge it!
I’ve had this Garmin Forerunner 55 for almost a month now and really like it. I had a Fitbit in the past and it always had issues connecting via Bluetooth and the data seemed off. This Garmin connected instantly on Bluetooth and the sleep and activity data seems to be accurate. The Garmin Connect app is also easy to use. It’s lightweight and comfortable on my wrist, plus the battery lasts forever. It’s been weeks and I haven’t charged it! Overall, an excellent watch, especially for the price

Near Perfect Affordable Running Watch…
I’ve had this watch for almost a month and its been fantastic. GPS and heart rate are accurate, display is sharp (albeit not AMOLED level crisp), and the stats are just what I need/want. The question for you is will this watch meet your needs, wants, and lifestyle? With the release of the Forerunner 165, it *seems* the 55 isn’t a great choice. The 165 has an AMOLED display, an altimeter, and a few more bells and whistles for about 40 bucks more. The upgraded screen and altimeter make it seem like an easy choice to set down the extra 40 (or 100 for portable music). However, the 55 still offers a nice value and solid features:I’ve found the display on this watch to be fine (even with so-so near vision). Its already helped me knock time off my pace and train for an upcoming marathon. The data provided by the 55 is detailed: the body battery, sleep data, VO2 max, fitness age, stress, running cadence, and more are probably a bit more than I want and encompass all that I need. I always run with my phone (as a Zombie’s Run fan and need to be in-touch with the outside world) so having a music option or do-it-all watch isn’t necessary. While I haven’t pulled a formal training plan (I’m following the Zombie’s, Run! marathon trainer which I’ve used before to good effect), I *could* pull a plan to my 55. Further, the 55 “knows” when I’ve gone hard on a run or had a bad night’s sleep and recommends a rest day or lower effort run. All good stuff!TL:DR – the 55 is a great option for a beginner runner or experienced runner who wants some data but knows (or is honest with themselves) that they probably won’t dive into too deep (e.g. pace, cadence, body battery, and sleep are all they want with a few more goodies). Its also a great choice for the person who wants a dedicated GPS watch but wears other watches during their day and is having trouble justifying a special purpose purchase.I’m still in the return window for my 55 and I’m going to keep it. The 40 dollar (+ tax) isn’t a huge hurdle but I can’t say that the 165 gives me enough more to turn in the 55. I’m very happy with this watch because *it meets all my needs an wants* if the same is true for you, go ahead and order this but if you want the sharper display, a bit more data, and an altimeter (really, the only thing I miss on my 55) then save up some more and go that way.

Seems to cover all my wants
I bought this watch to help track with my running. I usually use strava on my phone but that setup is very cumbersome. This watch makes it easy to pause a run, has it’s own GPS, has music controls, sleep tracking, HR monitor, steps counter all I want in a little package and some more I don’t use (yet).Battery life seems good, this is my first watch so I can’t compare it to any. While running, when it uses GPS it drains about 7% every hour. When connected to my phone via bluetooth, it drains about the same every hour so I don’t connect it if not needed. Battery lasts about 5 days on my schedule. There are some customization on the display. I don’t like that the manual customization has very limited data fields. It only has battery %, clock and step/dist. I’d like to be able to show HR too but oh well. I can always use some creations in the IQ store but I don’t see anything of my liking so far. There is an auto backlight when running at night, just point the watch to your face and it turns on by itself which is a very nice feature as I run during late afternoon until dark. The display does not seem to be of high definition. This may contribute to more battery life and I don’t mind it but be aware. The band can be uncomfortable if tightened too much. This watch is very light and the bands are very grippy so I just wear it almost loose to where the bands don’t leave marks on my wrist.

A intenção dele é realmente esportiva. Fora que a bateria dura mesmo, a primeira carga durou uns 10 dias e ainda assim carreguei com 30% por precaução.

This watch is a great improvement over the Forerunner 35. Better heart monitor and much better battery life. The pairing features are useful and fun.
