    Durable Pull up bar
So far pull up bar has been great. Performance is awesome. Pull up bar is very sturdy and durable. Material is high quality. Has padding on the sides to protect door frame from damages. It was very easy to assemble, only took a few minutes. Definitely good value for the money. Safety wise, no issues so far. It’s easy to take off and on the doorway, it’s a decent weight but not overly heavy. You can tell it’s made well! Nice to be able to pull ups without leaving your home. Versatile with the different handles to change up your workouts. Very happy with the purchase.

    Great pull up bar
I bought this a gift for my daughter’s guy. He loved it! It was well packaged and looks great. It looks much sturdier than some of the other ones on Amazon. With all the different grips, there are different ways to use it to hit different muscle groups. Honestly, I have always wanted one of these. I may have to get one for myself too!

    Study, stable, lots of options
This was a pain to assemble and I wish it came with better instructions, but that’s the worst I can say about it.It is strong. I had someone over 200 pounds try it and no issue. I will point out, it’s padded enough that even under that much weight it left no marks on the wall.I’ve used it for Australian rows, which granted it should be able to do given it comes with the handles for it, and it was perfectly stable for that.I like that you can do so many things with it with such a great variety of grips, all padded. It offers a lot of functionality and variety in such a small tool. For both push ups and pull ups it offers great stability. This is one of the more expensive models, but given the quality and options, I’d call it a great value.

    Good product, minor design flaw.
Overall I love this bar. It’s easy to mount, it’s sturdy, and I can do multiple types of pull ups with it (and some a work as well.I do recommend putting a bracket of some sort above the door frame as the top supports are small and don’t disburse the pressure well. I noticed after a few days my drywall was being indebted. $8 at Home Depot for an aluminum angle fixed that problem. I placed it above the door frame so the brackets rest against it and it disburses the pressure over a larger surface area, and protects the door frame to boot. (See photo). If not for this issue it would have gotten a 5 star review.

    Instant back relief!
Really liking this pull up bar for dead hangs, pull ups and other back stretching exercises for increasing flexibility, strength and mobility. The bar was easy to assemble following the included straight forward directions and the unit itself is very robust, well built and manufactured. The pads for the door jam are easy adjustable to prevent marring of the casement and we have yet to see any damage to the sheetrock above the door header as some reviews described. I believe this was do to more improper set up then a flaw in the product myself, although I can see where a nonslip pad of some sort could possibly resolve this issue. Overall I couldn’t be any happier with this purchase and the way it preforms.

    Great Pull Up Bar!
Definitely one of the better door bars on Amazon. Decent neutral grip width and very sturdy. It’s my go to for building back and biceps. If I were to change one thing, I’d replace the foam grips with grip tape.

My thoughts on safety (as an engineer)
This thing is cleverly laid out. The force from your weight rotates around the two anchor points of course, but it will always be such that most of the force is pushing INTO your door frame and wall, especially at the lower contacts. (This is true for the angular grips, too. They are on the inner arcs of all the wall contacts, with their greatest leverage being on the lower contacts pushing in.)There is a small fraction of force pushing DOWN on your door frame (on the upper contacts). So you could potentially have it snap off that part of the frame, but it’d probably need some combination of these factors:- The door molding it rests on is a brittle material, like vinyl- Your frame/molding is very narrow. The product description mentions a minimum width, be sure and measure- You weigh a lot. Like… a LOTIf any of these are a concern, the simple solution is to get a 2×1 of sturdy wood. Paint it as you like. Mount it into the door header (e.g. the structural frame) with some long nails. Rest the pullup bar’s hooks on that instead. Finally, while there is no risk of it popping off while you pull up and/or hang, there is some risk of you pushing it off if you JUMP into a pullup. If you want to do a jump-assisted pull, be careful: start by pulling, and THEN jump, so that your hands always pull down instead of push up on the bar. Finally, a tip for those who are new to pullups. Each set of grips works a group of muscles when you pull. But if you hang loose, it stretches that same group! Helps a lot with avoiding that 2-day soreness!

    Worth the price!
Was pricier than other products out there, but once I got it I see why. 400lbs capacity makes sense since this is the beefiest pull-up bar I’ve ever used. Super stable. Easy assembly. Two comments. 1. Tape the metal that goes over the trim on the door or else it’ll scratch the paint. That was my bad for not thinking.2. The middle pull-up/chin-up grip is a little too close for my liking, but since the support for the frame goes right at the ideal pull up width there’s not much you can do about it.

I was super skeptical getting a doorframe pull up bar. I’ve seen many fail videos online. But my friend purchased one and said it was solid… So I jumped in having my doubts.Wow, this thing is solid. It is super sturdy and does not wobble or move around. It’s been a month later and I am seeing results already from doing 40 or so pullups in total every few days. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get in a quick work out at home. One thing I’ll add is the part that goes onto the doorframe can scuff up your wall. You can add some bumper pads or in my case I just put some painters tape temporarily.

Solid product. Impressed with the quality and design. No regrets.

My husband purchased this to replace one he had for years that was wearing down. The quality of this one is fantastic and he uses it everyday. It doesn’t mark the walls or door trim like the previous one so 5 stars from me too!!

  12. Rachael Goenaga

Just got it. Assembled it and I’m pretty happy with it. Would recommend!

Defiantly blows the competition out of the water. Price is excellent and bonus straps included. A solid build piece of gym equipment. Two very big thumbs up.
