    My experience
One of my lifelong desires got fulfilled today, with this pedometer.Instructions are crisp and clear. The pedometer can be clipped on, removed from the clip and connected to a lanyard cable.I followed the instructions and set the time and reset the counter.PROsSimple, sturdy yet lightweight, well functioning pedometer.CONsI tried walking around with it.If I walk quickly it takes about a second to calculate the aggregate steps and then adds it to the count. For example, the counter may jump from 15 to 23 steps, when you are walking quickly as it’s too quick for the counter to count step by step. The pedometer has no memory. Thus, the counter has to be reset every morning, to capture that day’s steps.I would have liked the pedometer to keep track of my historical steps, so that I can derive some insight over my activity level over a period of time. The quality is good for the price. Hence, giving it 5 stars.

    Simple and convenient
Love this. All I need us a step counter so this is perfect and simple. Clips to whatever I have on.

    Accurate pedometer but weak clip
This reasonably priced pedometer seems accurate. Unfortunately I had to drop a star because the clip didn’t hold well enough and regrettably it was lost when it fell off somewhere when I was out. Overall it was a good purchase so I re-ordered it and now wear it with the lanyard because the clip had failed previously. Pedometers are so great for motivating activity to improve health. A new study shows 5-7000 steps give a similar health benefit as 10,000 steps. It also said that even 4000 steps makes a meaningful difference for your health. Recommend this item but use the lanyard.

USELESS – Does NOT count steps unless you walk MORE THAN 20 FEET and DO NOT STOP
Does NOT count steps unless you walk MORE THAN 20 FEET and DO NOT STOPExample: Vacuuming my floors. Old Step Counter more than 3000 steps. This step counter 47.When vacuuming you NEVER keep walking more than 20 feet at a time. You Walk a few steps at a time while moving the vacuum. At work walking to and from a file cabinet 12 feet away, all day. Old Step Counter more than 5000 steps. This step counter ZEROThis WILL NOT record steps unless you walk AT LEAST 10 Steps WITHOUT STOPPING. IF you stop for more than 3 seconds the 10 count starts over. For more people 10 steps is between 18 feet and 25 feet. This is a lot of LOST steps. This will also NOT record Daily Steps. It keeps a running total. You must clear it every morning and if you want a running total you must write your steps down EVERYDAY. My old step counter kept a 99 day running total AND showed the daily (Midnight to Midnight) steps.

    Best gift idea ever,
I couldn’t be happier, It is amazingly accurate, I hike with a large group at the end of the day we all check our steps, It is spot on ,with all the other counters, easy to read, night light is great during our moonlight hikes, Worn on my waistband, better access ,then. My wrist, under two layers of long John’s, and the battery charger so easy to use, these are my go to gifts, . At $15.00 it’s a steal, thank you once again .

    Good enough but not ideal
Pros:Great size and colorBig displayEasy to set up and use, can add in your step pitch (cm or in)Shows time, steps, distance (km or mile)Light on display for evening/nightCons:The time is always first on the screen, you must press the top button once to check steps (or twice when the light is on) UPDATE: It seems if you long press the top button you can pick which screen to keep firstTime is only 24 hour, not 12 hourCan sometimes slip out of hands easily without the clip case on itIt doesn’t save and it automatically resetsNot really good to record daily steps, unless you look at it right before midnight and make a note somewhere*****At first setting it up and just sitting, it said 60 steps. I thought it might overcount. Then it seemed while I was using it for normal daily walking around, it might be undercounting. It records only after 10 steps (which is good, but bad for normal walking around home)During a timed amount of walking for exercise it seems okay. You can look at your step count before you start and subtract it from the total when you’re finished for an idea of your steps and distance for that time. Despite its flaws, it’s a good enough alternative to a cheap fitness watch or phone.
