    Love these shorts!
I found a pair of these shorts in the women’s section at Goodwill. I LOVED how they felt, so I had to buy another pair! They are so comfortable, not too tight, not too short or too long, not too thick or too thin. They fit perfectly. I know they are men’s shorts, but I am almost 6 ft tall and women’s short are almost ALWAYS too short for me. These look amazing! The pockets are perfect and actually hold quite a bit. I usually wear them at home or doing chores, but they still look good enough to wear for a quick trip to the store. They are definitely washable in a washer & dryer. I have washed & dried them several times and they haven’t faded or shrank at all. While doing projects or chores, I have to wear a back brace. These shorts dont get in the way for the brace fitting perfectly. I love that they can fold up really small and barely take up any room. They are definitely worth the price that I paid for them and I cant wait to order more in blue and grey. These shorts function as they should and dont bunch up in places they shouldn’t. I will definitely order more of these shorts again.

    Not Quite What I Expected
I have “training/fitness shorts” from two other brands; but, of all things, I couldn’t find them in the color Navy. I came across these offered in Navy after searching on the Amazon Essentials brand. I have other clothing from Amazon Essentials, and I find those items to be stylish, well-made and a real value (I don’t understand why Amazon has limited its men’s clothing offerings and why Amazon doesn’t restock clothing I’ve bought, because I would buy more). Anyway, while these shorts are not quite what I expected, that doesn’t mean they are not good, well-made shorts. My other shorts have a thicker/heavier feeling to the hand fabric. They are a polyester-spandex/elastane blend just like these shorts. However, the fabric in these Amazon shorts is very lightweight and not quite as smooth-soft feeling. I would say the fabric is more like running shorts. It is stretchy and flexes as you move or change seating positions. Perfect if you want a lightweight pair of shorts for when it’s hot. I wear my other shorts more as “ath-leisure wear”. The on-seam side pockets and zippered rear pocket linings are made from a stretchy mesh, so they don’t get hot against your skin. I appreciate having the pockets. I like the split seam at the bottom outside of each leg. I think these would make good tennis shorts, especially as the inseam is only 7”. Be prepared—these wear shorter than what you might be used to wearing. Definitely not down to the knees. I would prefer 9”, but I knew how the 7” would hit going in. Amazon recommended size Large (I’m 6 ft and weigh 185 lbs). Having bought size Large shorts on Amazon’s recommendation before and finding them slightly too big, I ordered Medium and the fit is spot on.

Decent workout shorts but tight waist
These are decent workout shorts for the price. They fit reasonably well overall, but I feel that the waist is a bit too tight for the rest of the fit. My waist size is near the low end of the posted range, and these feel somewhat binding to me. Reasonably comfortable fabric but with a highly synthetic feel to it.

    Nice shorts for the money
Thin and silky, with a back pocket. Just what I wanted.

    Awesome quality for the price
I’ve been looking for super stretchy unlined shorts with pockets for our new quarantine reality. These totally fit the bill. A few specific details:- The stretch, combined with the shorter inseam gives you total freedom of movement. I use them for peloton rides, light yoga, and a lot of sitting around working from home. No complaints.- Fit is true to size. I have skinny legs and they feel fine. If you have treetrunk legs maybe consider sizing up, the stretch and structured waistband mean that they won’t be falling off of you if you do decide to do so. However I do think if you have a small waist relative to your legs you could get away with normal sizing. They are a really middle of the road cut.- Waistband is structured and ‘tall’, for lack of a better word, compared to other athletic pants. It’s almost a sweatpant style waistband vs. a normal pair of athletic shorts. Assuming this stems from these shorts being the cut-off version of their long pants. I don’t know if it’s better or worse, it’s just different. It doesn’t fold over itself like some thinner standard athletic shorts’ waistband does. It’s comfortable for a day of wear. I’d be curious how they would do on a long flight, but who flies in shorts?- Construction is solid. They don’t feel as bulletproof as say, my nike phenom running pants, but they feel less likely to pill up than my dirt cheap adidas climalite shorts. Pockets are a good depth but I’d appreciate sturdy zippers in any shorts like these. The light weight and stretch always makes me nervous that the shorts will ride up on my leg while sitting and something will fall out.Overall for the value I think they are a great buy. Totally recommend.

Sehr leichte Hose, schöne schwere Qualität.

Perfect fit! Inseams were the right length. Took a while for delivery. Good thing I bought two.

So far, all Amazon Essentials size small I’ve bought fit except this. It’s too large. And the waistband is also rather large for guys’ shorts. I gave 2 stars because the shorts is not bad looking.

  9. Mitch Q

not quite as good as a lulu short, but for 1/3rd the price I’m happy they are almost as good. I’d say the material is slightly cheaper/less flexible but honestly its pretty close. I will probably buy another pair of these.

Wide elastic waist band looks kinda chicky but it’s very comfortable, with a drawstring for added hold. Smooth fabric, mid-cut at thigh and deep pockets. Perfect athletic shorts, especially for tennis.
