Iâm not going pretend to understand the science behind this product, but Iâve used it for a little while, and Iâm comfortable speaking as to my personal experiences.It looks and works as you would expect. The unit is the size of a deck of cards, and it comes with four sets of wires, and some electrodes. The wires connect the electrodes to the unit. The electrodes stick on to your skin in a way that you have possibly experienced in a hospital or therapeutic setting. Just put a few drops of water on them and they adhere to skin nicely.Once you are hooked up, you have your choice of 24 settings for the type of treatment that you want, and then within that type, you can choose the strength of the treatment that you want. As other reviewers have mentioned, for being a small rechargeable unit, the higher settings are surprisingly powerful.So, what exactly are these treatments, and what do they do? How does it feel? The treatments work by transmitting an electrical current into your skin. The electricity stored in the unit travels through the wires into the electrodes, and into your skin. So, whatâs good about that? The electricity doesnât just go skin deep. It goes into the underlying muscles, and thatâs where the magic happens.The electrical stimulation causes your muscles to have some activity. It can be just a tiny tingle, or a much stronger effect. I didnât really entire believe that something small and rechargeable could have a big effect. However, at medium settings, the effect can be strong enough to make the muscles below the electrodes twitch, or even clench and contract.So, whatâs that good for? Recently, I had one of those nasty bugs that caused me to cough so hard that I had sore muscles in my back, sides, and abdomen. I put the electrodes onto the affected areas and used a low setting. The little tingle that the electricity put into the sore muscles was very soothing, just the thing I like that I needed.It can handle other issues as well, such as keeping muscles from atrophy if they canât be normally used. It can range from what feels like a gentle massage all the way to what feels like actually working the muscles.I ran it by my physical therapist, just to be safe, and she gave me the green light.I donât want to promise youâll have some sort of miracle, but I can honestly say that I am quite happy with my results so far. Just based on what Iâve experienced so far, if I tried this out at a friendâs house, I would have easily believed that this product could sell for $250-$350. Naturally, it feels to me like a bargain. Iâm even willing to say that if I wasnât one who steers clear of other peopleâs health (because Iâm not a doctor), Iâd recommend this to friends and family. Iâm even considering breaking my own rule and giving one or two as a gift.So yeah, that all sounds too good to be true to me, and Iâm the one who wrote it!TL; DR – I like this little gadget a lot!

I had previously purchased a dual-channel TENS unit from AUVON that saved me from the debilitating pain of nightly back spasms. this four channel unit allows me to treat not only my back, but simultaneously address the concurrent pain in my neck and shoulders, or the arthritis aches in my lower extremities — I no longer have to choose one or the other! I love that this unit comes with a longer time setting (up to 90 minutes). I now keep my dual channel at work, and the four channel unit at home. since the electrodes and lead wires are the same, I can switch seamlessly between the two units without having to peel off and restick the pads. (speaking of which: these electrode pads are *really* good, very secure grip, and really last a long time if you care for them as suggested.)what I’m most excited about with this new unit is the EMS function. while the TENS unit treats my immediate pain, I’m hoping the EMS function will help to heal injured muscles in my back, feet and knees for longer lasting relief and better overall health. I look forward to updating this review when I’ve had more time to use this feature.you really can’t go wrong with an AUVON TENS product. if you’re on the fence about trying TENS, or overwhelmed by the number of choices, look no further. this unit is fantastic for the price point — 10 out of 10 *definitely* recommend. AUVON’s customer care team is great, also — very prompt in responding when I wrote in to extend the warranty!

Not very powerful but works
So I had a same brand smaller 2 channel model that was a beast, level 3 or 4 was enough to fry a chicken nugget (obviously I did not try this, is just to give you an idea), but by some reason it got ants and dirt inside it so I buy this bigger model thinking it would not have more power but around the same. It did not -_-This one at maximum level (20) will feel the same as the old one on level 4 (out of 10 or 20 don’t remember well its maximum since I never were close to use it at it’s maximum) which is disappointing.Still gets the job done, the modes it has are good and plesant, the things that you stick to your body are very well made and the sticky part is very good.The cables are long and has a velcro cable wrap. Overall its fine.I just wish it had the same power as the old one, if so it would be 10 out of 5 stars
