HOW TO CHOOSE: The weight of the blanket should be about 10% of your body weight. For example, a 150 lb adult would use a 15 lb weighted blanket, and a 65 lb child would use a 7 lb weighted blanket. The blanket should be no longer in size than the top of your mattress and should not hang over the sides of your bed. Please reference our chart to determine which blanket is right for you.

Throw size is great!
Not too heavy at 10lbs. The size is good because it doesnât fall off the bed. The purple is dark and earthy. Plush fabric is soft and nice quality. No shedding so far.

I love this blanket. It’s perfect size for me, I’m 5’3″. I got the 48×70 and it’s 12 pound. It’s heavy but not so heavy I can’t move. It gives comfort like a hug. It’s heavy to carry though haha. Love the blue mink, it’s very soft. I keep it on my bed for my RLS and it helps so much with anxiety and panic attacks. Definitely worth it!

The texture of the minky one specifically was very soft and squishy. Itâs fairly warm, and didnât have any kind of factory smell. However, it is pretty small compared to my mattress in both length and width. I personally loved that aspect, but keep that in mind if you wanted a bed cover.

Great for mental health
I’ve had this blanket for almost a year now. So I’ve had plenty of time to see how it works for me. I ordered this for my mental health. I have bipolar disorder and experience depression. They recommend them because they are supposed to be comforting. I definitely have experienced this personally. It gives you a security and feels like your being given a hug. The weight of the blanket has a lot to do with this. If its not weighted properly you wont havr the right experience. The suggested weights for your body weight are actually pretty broad. I was 250 when i ordered this and ordered the 22lb. I have since lost 50lbs and can say that i do notice a difference. Its enough of a difference that i could probably use the 20lb. But its not to where i feel crushed. A key thing to look for is if youre having difficulty breathing. I have not experienced this. As far as your mental health and general use having that extra weight makes you feel like you’re being spooned almost. If you sleep alone like I do, I’m sure you can see the benefit to this. The blanket stays nice and cool. You still have warmth from the weight but the glass beads have a cooling effect. I’m hot natured and can’t sleep if I get overheated. With this blanket I actually have a duvet insert on top that I sleep with also. This blanket has held up really well. I havent ever used a duvet cover with this. I have dogs and kids but even with that, there hasn’t been any fraying or separating of the material. The edging stiching has stayed in place with no leakage of the beads. I have washed it many times so there is some light piling. But that’s to be expected considering how long I’ve had it. The fabric is actually softer than it was when I first got it. So this doesn’t affect the feel. The color of the fabric has dulled over time though. I ordered it in white and it is now an off white. Now why i gave it 4 stars. I ordered a 60×80 queen size blanket. I measured it and I actually have a 75×56. It does not reach the edges of my mattress like they recommend. I should have sent this one back and ordered a king. So I would recommend that you size up with this brand. Other than that I really recommend this blanket from this brand for the quality and the price of it. These are usually not inexpensive products. So considering how well this has worked and held up I’d get this one.

A delicious feeling blanket!
The weight is tire, beads are very small and donât bunch. The feel of the fabric is so very soft and soothing which adds to the whole experience of using this blanket.I just started using this after years of using one that leaked beads and was not as comfortable.That said, while is new, time will tell if it holds, I hope I get years of enjoyment from using this product!

This weighted blanket is SOFT & AMAZING!!!
My son had been wanting to try a fairly heavy 18-25 lb) weighted blanket. So, the hunt was on. I had two primary concerns:1). The outer material, itâs softness & how it felt against his skin (both of my kids are very tactile!).2). The inner weighted material was also a consideration as I preferred glass beads on the inside and smaller sectioned pockets where they are placed. This makes for an even distribution of the beads, therefore: the weight.â¢â¢THIS BLANKET FIT MY CRITERIA PLUS, IT HAD GREAT REVIEWS!! It looks very nice on his bed and has no off-putting smell.One small drawback; Itâs very heavy so I must take it to a laundromat and use a 4-6 load washing machine just to launder it, strictly due to its weight, esp when itâs wet!! It gets heavy enough that it would likely go off balance or overload even the best non-commercial front / top loaders at home. Great weighted blanket
This is a great blanket. I am returning for a smaller size though. I would recommend that if you are new to weighted blankets, start small and light.. then work your way up. I started with a 17lb queen size.. It felt super heavy and I had heard before that starting smaller/lighter was better. So I have re-ordered a 7lb smaller size.. Overall, great blanket though, seems well made. The seams are tight and fabric is nice.

I just bought 2 more of these! Great weight distribution, super comfortble, attractive colors, and washes well. I wash everything before I use it, so in it went, cold gentle cycle with detergent and a dash of vinegar to set the color so it never runs or fades (important). It would take forever to hang dry and is too heavy to hang anyway so I popped it into the dryer with 2 dry bath towels. The blanket was perfectly dry in half an hour and my kid sleeping under it just 2 hours later. It was like magic watching this weighted blanket so gently confine, and then settle my wiggly ADHD child with restless legs. That’s the 10lb 40×60 green blanket. I love it, so the next day I got the velvety soft blue for my other kid (it’s gorgeous but might be too warm for some people, I suspect), and a 12lb 48×72 for myself. I chose not to get a queen because it is heavy, and I think a larger one would be awkward and cumbersome to position or adjust at night. Besides, I’m single. If I weren’t, I’d still consider 2 twins instead of a queen, personally. None of my family have been sleeping well lately but I look forward to some good rest tonight! As for choosing weight, I’d have definitely gone heavier years ago when my anxiety was super intense. For me now, the 12 lb twin blanket feels like I’m free to move but with resistance and it feels right. I’m a somewhat petite female. I had a great snuggle under it to try it out, and now it’s happily whirring in the washer.
