Customers say

Customers find the heart rate monitor easy to use and connect, particularly with Garmin and Peloton devices, and appreciate its long-lasting battery that recharges quickly. The product receives positive feedback for its quality and value, with one customer noting it performs as well as an Orangetheory HRM for Peloton. However, the functionality and accuracy show mixed results – while some find it works well and provides consistent readings, others report it stops working after 10 weeks and the accuracy deteriorates over time. Durability is also mixed, with some customers reporting it lasts well while others say it breaks within four months of minimal activity.

Almost as good as chest strap
I have been using chest straps for years. Getting tired of my non running neighbor asking me why I am wearing a bra strap. So tried this armband. Please see graph where I wore Coospo and Garmin forerunner 965 (uses optical sensor-not much better than a random number generator) and Garmin chest strap (recording data to my bike computer I held in my hand). There is a is a 5 to 10 second delay in the change of heart rate when you change your pace, but unless you’re doing many short intervals, doubt would notice. The time spent in each heart rate zone was about the same between the chest strap and the armband. So, although the delay is a slight issue, definitely acceptable enough for me and much more comfortable.

Thank you for your feedback

The lack of durability in a well known branded item was frustrating; SICKR of the poor performance, I gambled on this. Worked very well out of the box, albeit the packaging is excessive and wasteful. It would be nice if mfrs. realized that four-color printed boxes aren't how consumers gauge quality.

Anyhow, the sensor: connects more rapidly and with greater stability of reading than the 'other' sensor. Paired instantly. I found the strap more than big enough, and I'm a male XL. Are people using their forearms, as directed?

This is a good sensor and represents outstanding value at the price.

UPDATE: Sadly, it stopped working June 2024.

I've had a COOSPO chest strap for about 5 years and it's still going strong – great product. However, my wife wanted to start tracking her HR during workouts and we both wanted to give an armband a try. I run about 25 miles a week and she's a walker. I wanted a controlled environment and pace so I ran on my Pro-Form treadmill.
I ran an easy 5 miles with the chest strap for a controlled test. You'll see a fairly straight line predominantly in Zone 1, creeping into Zone 2.
After a break, I turned on the bluetooth pairing on the treadmill and then turned on the armband HRM. It paired effortlessly! This was going great.
I then ran an easy 3 miles with the armband around my outer bicep. After about 30 seconds the readout kicked in and was spiking massively all over the place as it tried to read my blood flow. I was in Zone 5 in just a few minutes (not really). It finally settled in after about a half mile and provided fairly consistent readings, although typical spikes had a higher deviation (2-8 BPM) than with the chest strap (1-3 BPM). I realize the electrical signals from a chest strap are more accurate but had not expected all the spiking and especially not having to get it to "warm up" to work. I was tempted to give it another chance but that's the deal breaker for me. After doing some research, a "warm up period" is a common phenomenon. The armband might be good for casual tracking but I need something I can trust a bit more right from the start. If you're willing to ignore data for 5 minutes or so, or, start an activity before tracking then an optical sensor device might be good for you. This one seems well made and I just discovered the inherent faults of the technology…

Perfekt mit Kettler Geräten und ANT+

Reviewed in Germany on August 25, 2024

    Does the job!

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 21, 2025

I used this HR arm band when training for an ultra-marathon recently and found it easy to pair with my Garmin watch. Good for the price, but I can't compare it to any other arm bands as I've never had any others! It does the job anyway. It stays in place on my arm and can slip a bit maybe once or twice an hour, but I just push it back up my arm, it doesn't bother me. The band can be adjusted to any length (velcro). The charging cable connection to the magnetic connection port on the arm band is a bit weak so can detach easily, but that would only matter if you were charging it on the go and moving about (e.g. using a battery pack). The HR measurement was accurate when I compared it manually.
