Perfect balance of most useful features!
I have enjoyed Garmin quality products in the past, so when looking for a new smartwatch, I compared Garmin’s innovative features with other comparable models. This Garmin Vívoactive 5 was exactly what I needed at an affordable price. Some of the features I most appreciate are as follows: * Battery lasts for several days * Watch is sleek and stylish * I love that I can choose a watch face that is most conducive to my needs * The text and data are bright, colorful, and easy to read * Garmin has a great phone app to track my health and fitness data * I find the Sleep Score and Sleep Coach very helpful * The Body Battery, Stress, and Heart Rate monitors are beneficial * It is ‘drag and drop’ easy to customize * The Garmin quality and reliability is unmatched

Incredible battery life, seamless functionality, endless versatility, and it’s cute!
The battery life on this guy is just insane! I can wear this watch every day for at least 10 days before I even think of charging it. It’s connected to my phone so it’s receiving incoming texts/calls, sending me notifications quite a bit, and I have it on 24/7. I’ve owned it for over a month and charged it 3 times which includes the initial charge I did when I first got it. It did come pretty charged to be fair, I was just topping it off. I did quite a bit of research on smart watches when I started my fitness journey and everything pointed to Garmin as the company to go with. The features on the Vivoactive aren’t quite as intense as some of the other Garmin watches, but I don’t need to go spelunking with this thing. I just want it to track my cardio, tell me the time, count my steps, and tell me how I’m sleeping. It does all of that and more. The Garmin Connect app is also great, tons of motivation and tracking tools within the app. I got to hike the Great Wall of China last week! I was also able to download several different watch faces to customize the background how I want. Everyone says that this is waterproof, I haven’t checked that. I think I’m scarred by past experiences with “waterproof” products, I’m sure this one is fine but I haven’t personally tested that feature. So I do take it off to shower. I really love that you can select a specific exercise to track which helps your watch more accurately calculate how many calories you’re burning. On top of all the great features I think it’s a really pretty watch. Not too big, not too small, I would ABSOLUTELY buy this watch again. It’s pricier than a Samsung or Apple watch but for the battery life alone it’s worth it. So much functionality, I really am in love with this watch.

I had a Garmin Vivoactive 3 for years. The Vivoactive 5 is worth the upgrade.
My Vivoactive 3 watch quit on me after several years. It wouldn’t recharge but I later realized that I just needed to clean the part that connects to the recharging cable. Still, the battery wasn’t holding a charge well and it was time for an updated Vivoactive 5. I like the features on the new watch. The Steps function is more accurate, I think. I’m really interested in the Body Battery function which wasn’t on the Vivoactive 3. It is a kind of energy meter for your body, it seems accurate. As your energy goes down, the Body Battery number goes down, so it seemed to reflect my real-life energy level. Sleep score is another great feature. I found that I don’t sleep well. That’s a challenge for me to work on, very insightful to know this. The usual heart rate, stress and intensity minutes work well. This model has a Pulse Ox and Health Snapshot as well. It is slightly smaller than the Vivoactive 3 and lighter. I’m not that athletic (age 68) but I still feel that I’m getting a lot of good information from the watch. Lots of other features I haven’t mentioned here. Definitely a good buy for me.

    Decent watch
I’ve had this watch a couple months now. It replaced a Vivoactive 3 I had for at least 4 years. I like that it’s a little thinner than the 3, I now wear it to bed to track how I sleep. Its sleep assessment generally agrees with how I feel when I wake up.Battery life is great. I’m disappointed with the display in a couple areas. It’s harder to read in the daylight when you’re running than the 3, and when you turn your wrist to see the display, it doesn’t always turn on. I sometimes have to turn my wrist just so.Finally, my only real beef with it is this. It is constantly connecting and reconnecting with my phone, even if it’s right next to me. I had to turn off the vibrate option it’s so annoying. I see that others have had the same problem when I Google this. So far, I can’t find a fix.

  7. Handsome man

First of all, I’m not a fan of bulky-looking watches, so this watch fits the bill. It’s slim enough, sleek, and not too thick. The battery life is amazing. I had an Apple Watch and they’re notorious for poor battery life so this has been a breath of fresh air. The functionality is superb. I mainly use it for running and hiking. The watch provides accurate metrics for heart bpm, VO2 max, sleep quality, and much more. If you’re looking for something more affordable than the high-end Garmin products, buy this watch.
