I have been meditating in ever increasing session times. Started at around 10 min sessions few months ago and I fell in love with meditating so much that I keep sneaking in 20-30 min sessions whenever I have 30 min window to spare throughout the day. Overall I am between 1.5-2 hrs on an avg per day at this point. I think this pillow has a lot to do with my ability to increase the session times rapidly, as well as being productive in those sessions.
This pillow doesnt give you the perfect posture as prescribed by the advanced practitioners. It takes shortcuts, like for example, providing those side traingular cushions folding under the knees is an incredible feature for longer sittings.
So you have to ask yourself do you want to learn the perfect posture, or do you want to accelerate your meditation capabilities instead? I personally prefer the latter. I am 46. I am quite fit and been working out for over 30 years and am confident that I can potentially learn the recommended lotus posture eventually, but I do fear that I will run the risk of losing interesting in meditation due to not enough progress if I am always battling the discomfort of frozen joints and pressure points. So thats my justification for taking this shortcut. And in my defense, it worked out very nicely so far. To each otheir own. I feel the goal of meditation is to purify the mind and I think its ok to cut a few corners on the posture.
One Con of this cushion is that its not firm enough. I weigh 175 lbs, and the sitting part of the cushion depresses lot more than I wish it would. So the rule of "knees below hips" is not satisfied here. So I use a folded blanket on top of the pillow to raise the height some more. And this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
I highly recommend this for people with flexibility issues, for serious beginners like myself, for older people. But if you are young and in shape and are the type of person that likes to do things right patiently even if it takes a while, then I recommend getting a traditional meditation cushion and learning the lotus posture.
Hope this review is helpful to people. goodluck

Very comfortable!
I needed something to make my older body (I’m in my 60s) more comfortable while I sit to meditate and this does the trick as well as I hoped it would. The knee supports are very helpful, and the seat cushion is very comfortable, so it functions well for me. The size is perfect plus it has enough height to make it easy for me to get down onto. I ordered the black one and the color is very much a true black. I love it and highly recommend it!

Really good solution for longer meditation sessions

Even better in person
Excellent!! Much larger and wider than expected. The padding is strong and does not smash down. Very supportive and comfortable. I bought it to sit in while I work and love it so much I carry it around the house and sit on it on the couch. It also feels so nice that to lay in it to sleep now. Iâm buying another.

Smaller than I thought
Unfortunately this Matt is smaller than I thought. It may work well for a smaller frame body. I also didnât like the shape. I returned it with no problems. If you are smaller frame like 5â7 or under this May work well for you.

Uncomfortable
Cushioning goes flat on the bottom, I have hip issues so got this for meditation and it still did not help. Legs were not supported at all, maybe i am to small at 5 feet 8 140 lbs. Loved the idea hated the fact it did not do what it said. Sorry.

Comfy Oommming
So much better than a regular bolster for comfortable meditation. Love the knee support and the raised seat.

seat cushion is half the thickness as shown in the pictures
it feels like you’re a pinky’s distance from the floor because after waiting for it to “inflate”, the seat cushion still isn’t that great.it’s half the thickness as shown in the picture.and half the firmness as shown in the picture.the seat looks like dense foam in the picture, but is actually very flat and not supportive/weak for sitting though soft (I need to upload a pic)

Solve my cross-leg sitting problem
I couldnât do the cross leg sitting at all because my muscles are extremely stiff. Three-day meditation retreat hurt my knee joints and caps. I have tried so many years and even bought a massager but still felt painful. I just wanted to do a basic cross leg sitting, not the lotus sitting, in zen meditation. Now this solves my problem. I barely feel any pain now, and I see the hope. Thank you!
