Good workout
The Merach R-02 rowing machine arrived very well packaged and protected and secure and was very easy to assemble and only had one tiny error in having an incorrect style of washer in the connector kit – a very minor issue.All comments we had read about how quiet the unit is while in use are true, when my Wife is using it I canât even hear it in the next room and when I use it and am quite a bit heavier the sound is still smooth and quiet. I am 5â10 and the length of the rails are perfect with several inches to spare, but not sure if a person 6â4â would be a good fit. As far as weight they say 350 lbs is tops and Iâm 230 lbs and itâs solid enough to easily handle my weight and power. If you are stronger I would probably consider the version that has water and magnetic resistance combined. We only have the magnetic resistance which is on the light side for me resistance wise but perfect for my Wife who is 100lbs lighter ! We currently have about 12,000 cycles / pulls on this unit and it seems as though we will get over 100,000 before possibly having to replace the rail seat wheels ( just a feeling, nothing scientific with that comment ). I had a hip replacement recently and found this was a perfect workout prior to and physical therapy after the surgery and really helped with range of motion and getting a light aerobic workout. The intensity is up to you, dial up resistance level and control your speed as you desire and you can also decide how deep of a rowing load sliding motion / extension you want.Weâve had this for about three months. All in all the quality, design and usefulness is of greater value than the cost which was way less than most other options. Have recommended to many friends and Family !

A great compact rowing machine
This rowing machine is great. It works very well, has good resistance settings, and stands up to save space. My brother-in-law used it at our house and ordered one for himself.I admit I have not used the smart features. I’m glad it has them but its not really something I am interested in. The fact that it works without needing to be plugged in or have the electronics active is good.The seat is comfortable enough and slides smoothly on the rails. Installation was pretty easy. There are essentially three things that need to be screwed on. Each has a different number of holes and that number matches the number of screws for each size. For example, there are four screws of one size so you know those go to the thing that requires four screws. There are three screws of another size so you know they are for the thing that needs three screws. I am visually impaired so I usually need help reading instructions but I didn’t with this. It took about 1/2 hour once I got everything laid out and most of that was just screwing in the screws.One complaint I have is that the allen wrench that came with this is very soft. It was worn out before I finished installing and would not turn any of the screws tightly without pulling out. I had to find a matching wrench I already had in order to finish the job.

Update 2024:Long overdue update, but Merach went above and beyond to make things right. Excellent company to deal with. The replacement was a great improvement. Noise level is now okay. The upgraded model works well with the app.. You canât beat the auto adjustment of the resistance. Less to worry about mid-workout. I lost about 15lbs following the beginner and intermediate courses (those courses could still be improved).After a 4 month hiatus I jumped back in recently and I still love it. The only things Iâd like to see improve is the app and less seat wobble at higher SPMs. There were app updates while I was in hiatus and while more stable I miss seeing the SPM highlighted during a workout when I begin to fall under or go too far over. The noise is noticeably less, but I would like to not need to adjust seat tightness periodically. The left foot rest is irreparably loose. Not a huge issue for use, but something I have to be mindful of when lowering to the floor before a session. Nice to have: I wish the version I currently have came in white. Overall, Iâm satisfied. âIâve owned the Q1S for about 7 months. Smooth delivery and setup. Easy pairing with their app and the Kinomap app. We did not begin using it regularly until after the holidays, and thatâs when the problems began.If you plan to row with a SPM over 28, this thing goes from minimal noise to distractingly loud. We have tried checking the bolts, and making sure nothing loosened to no avail. We are well below the max weight so that should not be the issue either.You will need a seat cushion, even if you have ânaturalâ cushion.Iâm big on tracking metrics, which is what led us to picking this model (app seemed very robust). I could probably live with the noise if the technology was seamless. The main issue is the Merach app stops tracking your row 10-12 minutes into your workout. There is no syncing with apple health or fitness. The Kinomap seems to stay connected a bit longer, but eventually drops as well.If youâre planning to use any of there classes please note the instructors are not the greatest. The feeling is they were asked to do a class without much prep. Not a huge issue as I believe the company is still growing and trying to deliver content as fast as possible.Overall, I would send this back if I could and opt for something a bit more technologically stable, comfortable, and with a lower noise profile.

Good rowing machine for beginners
I picked this rowing machine for the compact size and price. I’m new to rowing and didn’t want to spend much. I’ve used it for 4 weeks now. About 3 to 4 times a week. It is quiet and works well.As a beginner, I didn’t realize the handle stops at my feet and prevents me from having a full rowing stroke. I plan to upgrade to a larger machine later that allows you to go past your feet and pull back all the way. It is still a good piece of equipment for the price. I would just like something better.

Es algo pequeña, pero muy funcional yo mido 1.87 y la puedo usar sin ningún problema, los diferentes niveles de resistencia funcionan bastante bien para principiantes e intermedios, es muy fácil de armar, incluye las herramientas para ensamblarla, lo mejor de todo es que llego mucho antes de la fecha estimada. Buena calidad, recomiendo ampliamente.

Machine might be good, but it didnât start well, as I had to email, get in touch with service help at Amazon to get things rolling and almost a month later I got the unitPutting it together was easyBut now I wonder, they were saying you can use their app to get a training free for a month, and it will start from the date of purchase, I received it a month laterâ¦.. now what, just out of curiosityI will buy a rowing game to go along that way I will have something to challenge myself
