No substitute for the real thing
Last year I bought a cheaper knockoff version that worked in the same way but was a pain to use the peloton app with an ipad and the bike app on my phone to monitor the cadence and resistance and didnât have clip in pedals and I did not end up using it much at all because it was such a hassle.I have used this for 31 days in a row and have never been this consistent with a workout routine. Definitely worth the extra money for the auto resistance, so much easier to focus on the workout. Having everything sync up with my apple watch is also great.Only con is that after less than a week, it started becoming noisy and eventually was loud whenever I pedaled. I called customer service after doing some searches online and on a Sunday I spoke to someone right away and described the problem. He said he would send me a troubleshooting video to try and fix the issue myself, which I wasnât thrilled about. But a few hours later I got an email asking me to send them a video of the sound, which I did. Shortly after I got an email saying they diagnosed the problem as a broken lower bracket that required a new part and visit by a service technician. There was an issue of my bike not being covered by the warranty because it wasnât in the peloton system because I got it from amazon but once I called and explained that, it got sorted out and they scheduled someone to come out. The appointment was a few weeks out but thereâs only person who services my area and I was able to continue using the bike while waiting for the fix. The repair guy was very polite, on time and knowledgeable.

This bike is such a smooth ride. The set up is pretty simple, and the screens are so intuitive. The quality is there, sturdy and heavy. Itâs quiet, and the volum is adjustable. The resistance knobs and adjustment knobs are simple and easy to use. Itâs pretty pricy, but really worth it. Cry once, right?

There is a lot to love and a lot to hate
Although I am very much enjoying the bike 5 months, in the criticisms of the bike are valid.Itâs not cheap, and after a hefty purchase you have another expensive subscription that you have to pay for, otherwise the bike is sort of (?) useless. Other much cheaper options with more usability and portability.I donât have experience with too many other stationary bikes, especially at this level but the bike feels solid and well put together. For me, it could look great in any room which is a plus, the setup is relatively easy and for my particular preference this was the perfect bike. I tried cheaper options like the wahoos, iOS apps, zwift, and if youâre already a hardcore cyclist or are looking to be oneâ¦I donât think this bike is for you. Especially if you care about accuracy in terms of wattage, output, or already know your FTP. These are things that arenât too accurate here. If you enjoy guided workouts with classes that are very motivating or like feeling like youâre working out in a group without the actual stress of being around peopleâ¦I think this purchase is a no brainer. Thereâs a tremendous amount of courses, helpful trainers, statistics to keep track of, multi week programs to keep you motivatedâ¦I enjoy the bike and what it offers, even with all its downsides as in my cursory research there was nothing that did what the peloton did. Your mileage will vary. Always do your research and set your expectations accordingly or youâll end up with a 1500 clothes hanger.

I was debating buying a Peleton for a while, the cost was really holding me back. But, prime day come along and I got a $500 discount on this bike, so I snatched it up immediately. Refurbished bikes on their website are more expensive than what I paid.I’ll be honest, I was concerned that it wasn’t Peleton delivering it, as they also do the whole set up.. but amazon delivered it on time, the box wasn’t damaged at all which was a relief.All the parts were inside the box neatly. Nothing was broken, everything was there. It took me around 2 hours or so to set up. The box has a home assembly kit with tools and all the screws you need (with a baggie of extras!)The setup was not hard at all, just time consuming. The build quality of the bike seems VERY solid also.It is quite a compact bike, I don’t have a large amount of room in my apartment but the peleton fits very well.Overall, I’d say it was a great purchase! Although I’m not sure I’d spend the original price for it of $1845 CAD.If you’re not in a rush but you want the Peleton, I’d definitely recommend waiting for another amazon prime day as the sale is just too good to pass up!

The Peloton is so worth it. Especially at the Black Friday price I got this for at $1370 + tax. Great for beginners/someone who needs guidance (me lol) and really helps you stay on track while having a great time. It is challenging – so donât think this will be easy.. but youâll feel amazing when you complete a class! Keep in mind there is a monthly subscription fee of $55 a month to be able to use these classes .. but do it you will love it!!Alsoâ Amazon does not assemble this for you so make sure you have someone strong to help you. It is super heavy but very easy to put together

A very sturdy, well- engineered exercise bike. The magnetic resistance beats anything else I’ve tried; smooth even at high resistance, and the closest to in feeling to riding an actual bike. The bike is extremely heavy, so make sure you have at least two strong people to get it to where you need it once delivered- especially if there are stairs involved. Two problems thus far: the user interface on both the touch screen and their website could use some work- they are sometimes irritating to navigate. The biggest issue I have is that the bike pedals require special cycling shoes with cleats, and the bike is unusable if you do not buy them separately. On top of the already expensive purchase of the bike, the shoes cost me $209 after taxes ($185 before taxes), and I have to wait at least 3 weeks for them to arrive. I purchased a subscription to use their workouts, which costs $55/month, and I will not be able to use the bike for most of the first month as I am waiting on the shoes. If amazon has the shoes in your size, you may be able to get them sooner, but I had to purchase mine directly from Peloton. If you order the bike, get the shoes right away, and wait until they arrive to register for the subscription.Lastly, just after purchasing my Peloton bike, I recently discovered allegations that Peloton attempted to coerce podcaster Theo Von into not having a guest on his show by threatening to withdraw their sponsorship. This is a practice I am deeply opposed to, and if it turns out to be true, i may cancel my subscription and sell the bike (a return of something this heavy would be impossible). If this is something you care about, consider this before making your purchase.

For this price point, am very happy with the purchase and delivery experience. Very easy to assemble, delivery was convenient and hassle free. Wasn’t sure how much I’d use this, but has been a great addition to my fitness routine. Was replacing a spin bike, and wasnt sure about whether all the bells and whistles were necessary. Classes are amazing and tracking workout metrics has been a huge motivator. Would highly recommend, great investment in your personal health.
