    Colorful & engaging
This is beautiful & thought-provoking. If you are looking for something to really point you in the right direction, something to guide you *TO* (not through) each step, but steps back & gives you enough room to reflect and paint your own picture; this is the self-discovery journal for you. It is small, and a great size for taking with you everywhere you go. Again I emphasize that it is not the most detailed & the book really allows for you to go on your own journey, while guiding you to the train of thought you should try to follow & consider more often. It is so pretty, colorful, inspiring with beautiful art.Ultimately, out of 6 books I was looking at, this came in second only to one other book that was significantly more detailed. 2020 was a real killer, so I feel that I need more in-depth guidance.

    Great daily activity and reminder
For someone struggling with a busy life and constantly overthinking, doing one page a day provides 5-10 minutes of valuable reflection. The colorful artwork and positive quotes are eye catching and keep my attention, which is important for someone like me who can get bored easily. The different activities address different issues such as narrowing down too many tasks, finding beauty in an everyday object/task, and practicing self appreciation. As you work and think through the activities, you gradually adapt a more present mindset.

    Tremendously Helpful
As someone with almost severe anxiety, this book is amazing. It really helps me get out of mind and engage. I can’t follow the book in chronological order because some days the next topic may feel like too much. I like to flip through the pages- despite my need to do everything in order. I’ll find a page that I can do or that calls to me, and give my mind a break.

    Adorable … but small
Okay, chalk this one up to my own failure to pay attention to the description. I thought this would be a composition book sized journal, but it is much smaller. As I tend to write copiously, it won’t work for what I wanted it for, but I can use it as a gratitude journal. Overall it is a lovely journal — the birds on the front are embossed (well, not indented, rather they stick out, sort of like a bas relief), and the pages are a very satisfying cream color. So if you want a small, purse/pocket-sized journal, this one would be a great choice.

    I LOVE it!
I absolutely love this journal, this is exactly what I was looking for! I’m a teenage girl who is pretty lazy and NOT a writer. I was looking forward to something that gives me questions for me to think about and get to know myself more. This journal contains not-too-deep questions that allow me to know me more and love me more. It actually lets me settle down and think about things. The contents and each page are very well designed which is kinda hard for me to get bored with. If you are a writer who is looking forward to writing a real journal and record your day, then I’m not recommending this one. If you are lazy like me and want a journal to kill your time, this will be a great book. I definitely rate this product a 5 star since it meets all my standards and I love it!

It’s time to get out there and live your life again!
I have to say I was in a horrible depression/anxiety moment in my life that had lasted for months. I finally decided to read a book on boundaries which really helped, I always had a journal which was mostly for fighting instead of yelling at my partner at the time I would yell at my journal lol And sometimes it’s hard just to write when you’re laid off work or nothing’s happening or going on you know. But once I got this book present not perfect I started doing just one page a day, then finally it got me out of the house after months I was afraid to do things alone being single for the first time in 14 years. But it has helped me get outside whether I go alone because I get blown off and that’s really how it started I decided well they blew me off I’m going to go out anyway and this book and even know I literally am only like six pages in I can tell his already changed my life and the way I look at my life. We’re never guaranteed tomorrow and I would recommend this and I have recommended this to everyone seeking help, or just something to give you ideas or tasks to do everyday, sometimes it’s just quotes, but a lot of times things will sit with you, and honestly I think it’s amazing! It helped re-examine my life and instead of walking through life it’s letting me LIVE my life!

It’s not what I was expecting.
This book was not what I was expecting. The questions don’t really make you dive deep and take about 2 minutes to answer. This would be great for maybe a young teenager just getting started into journaling or someone looking for an extremely easy introduction into light journaling. Half the pages are artwork that are wonderful in themselves, but that leaves less space to write and less prompts. The artwork would be cool to be able to rip out and hang up instead of having prompts on the backside. Overall not the type of “deep soul searching” type of book, but fine for getting into a routine of journaling.

  8. Not Sharing My Name

    Thought-provoking and helpful
My therapist said I seem to be awfully hard on myself and have a tendency to demand perfectionism, so I found this book and ordered it. I loved it so much I got the “present not perfect for difficult times” for my mom and one she has for teens for my nieces. The pages are beautiful and the prompts for thinking/writing are creative and help me slow down and be more gentle with myself. Great, beautiful book and I’m very thankful to have come across it!

  9. Em

Beautifully and thoughtfully illustrated. Simple yet meaningful and powerful writing prompts for reflection.

  10. Sofia Arely

  11. Janieme

Gave this journal as a present & it was a lovely surprise. Very happy with this item.

  12. A B

I was hoping this journal would help order my thoughts a bit, and the book seems to get them on the right track. The art is nice and the text is pretty to read. I would have liked a bit more structure for thought processes.
