My husband and I have been using Six Star Pre-Workout for about a year or so now, and it has quickly become our go-to pre-workout. My husband is a gym rat – 6’3″ and 215lbs – and works out every single day, sometimes twice a day. He takes pre-workout before every session, and I also prefer to take it when I workout, although not as often as he does. I have used Six Star for many years and have found it to be the best value for the money with the best results. The list of ingredients are impressive compared with other more expensive brands and the fruit punch flavor is very good.

Effective, at a great price point.
I have tried to quite a few different pre-workouts ranging in cost from affordable ones like these, and the ones that are over $40, and I can’t say I really noticed a huge difference between them. I don’t take pre-workout every single time I work out, I save it for when I need it, that way it will always be effective. This one contains 320 mg of caffeine, but if you’re sensitive the caffeine, you might want to cut the dose in half. It does only require one scoop, and one scoop is good for 6 oz of water. The flavor is decent, I have no complaints with it. It also contains 3.2 g of beta alanine, 3 g of L-citrulline, and 1812 mg of electrolyte matrix. So overall it does work for energy, I also noticed better focus when I’m using it, it tastes decent, and it mixes fine.

Flavor isnât great and servings are deceiving.
Fruit punch flavor was gross. Tastes almost like the smell of crazy glue. I purchased for the price, but for the amount of ingredients that you get itâs not worth it. I donât drink coffee so I rely on the caffeine in it for the morning but itâs advertised as â320mg caffeineâ and it tiny words âper 2 servingsâ but then youâre almost overdoing it on the beta-alanine and taurine, at least for me. At 2 scoops, to get that much caffeine, itâs just not as economical as other preworkout.

Honestly Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Blueberry Lemonade with creatine tastes way better, but this is cheaper and I don’t need creatine in my pre-workout since I take it post-workout. But I like this pre-workout.Can go for a full hour on leg day with quality reps and more sets… I’ve missed pre-workout!
