I got this to use with my standing desk at work. I’ve been trying to be more active and this has been a great way to keep my body moving while I work.I’ve used boards like this in physical therapy for both my broken ankle/repaired ligament recovery and for my knees (patellofemoral pain syndrome, Osgood-Schlatter’s disease & bursitis). The board is very easy to get up on and has a nice range to stretch and challenge my muscles.Some of the exercises I do on it are:-Heel to toe (for strengthening and stabilizing plantarflexion and dorsiflexion)-Round the clock (builds on the strength and stability)-Side to side (to stabilize against inversion and eversion)-Basic stance-Single foot balance (stabilizes muscles of ankles)-Single foot heel-toe tilts (stabilizes plantar and dorsi flexion)-Single foot side-to-side (plantar, dorsi, inversion and eversion flexion)-Single foot round the clock (inversion and eversion flexion)-Squats (glutes, thighs, core)-Calf raises (calf muscles)The board feels very sturdy like it could support a lot of weight. It has sandpaper-like material on top for excellent grip. The size is great for me (8.5 womens/7 mens shoe size). I don’t feel like I’m going to fall off or hurt myself. While it is a bit challenging to balance, it’s not too easy or too hard. I always have something sturdy to grab onto if needed.This has been such a great addition to my office “gym.” I can stand on it all day, shifting around and not feel overworked. It’s a fun way to build muscle while I work. My muscles feel great and I’m a little sore from my casual workout.One thing I will recommend is to place something on the floor underneath the balance board to protect the floor or carpet. There’s nothing sharp, but the pressure of me standing on it moving around all day is not how my carpet was intended to be used. I have the thin industrial carpet in my office and it’s already showing some wear, so I will put a small rug underneath to protect the carpet. I think a plastic floor mat (under chair type) might be too slick to safely use this on, so I’d recommend something with more traction.Update: I’ve only been using this a couple days and I absolutely love it. Several of my coworkers have tried it out and all of them comment on how nice it feels to stand on. I also read an article that said you can burn up to 100 calories an hour using one of these, so if I keep this up, I could be in incredible shape for the summer!TL;DR: This is a great way to keep myself active throughout the day, burn calories, build muscle and feel like I’ve gotten a workout at my desk. Get something to protect the floor.

This works well for exercises from therapy
Bought this for my wife for her tibiofibular diastasis after a fall. She used a similar device during professional therapy sessions. She took it to her therapist and he said it would just as well as theirs, using the methods and care taken learned in therapy. It has proven to be very solid, same movements she was shown, and an additional help is a good non-slip surface. The only thing lacking is instructions for use. Without her therapy time, she said she wouldnât be comfortable with instructions, even a link to YouTube would be helpful.

Inexpensive & Effective Way to Improve Ankle/Foot Strength & Flexibility
After injuring my ankle running, I ordered the Yes4All Wooden Wobble Balance Board to strengthen and stretch. For $16 and some change, itâs proven an excellent investment that has helped me improve my strength, mobility, and balance over the past six weeks. Construction is sturdy, consisting of a solid piece of Baltic Birch plywood for the standing board and a solid block of molded plastic for the wobble base, which is connected by eight Philips head screws to the bottom. The non-slip material glued to the board surface has held up under intensive use wearing sneakers, boots, sandals, and slippers. The board enables one to move forward to back and side to side, and rotate 360 degrees in either direction using two feet or one. I use it on a low pile carpet, as itâs a tad more challenging on hardwood floors (on which Iâve tried it and can confirm that the plastic does not scratch). A inexpensive and effective way to improve ankle and foot strength and flexibility.

Great cheap wobble board. No slipping on carpet and makes using the standing desk so enjoyable. Like all the movement and flexibility it gives and is also great to use for my feet when sitting down as I tend to get bored easily and this keeps me occupied
