They truly look as great in person, as in the pictures.Plastic shell, easy to clean, numbers are whatto be plastic inlays, not painted in, meaning itâs not a sticker.When they pressed the plastic, they likely added a colored layer so the numbers are âembossedâ for the lack of a better word. They wonât rub off.That said, the listing says solid concrete internal body, but if thatâs the case, mine shattered in transit, the kb sounds like they are filled with lead pellets or something similar, specifically the 10lb kettlebells, you can hear the rattle when your moving them, the others not so much, but you can definitely hear the pellets or pieces in the 10lb kb rattle around though.And while plastic is great for carpets (no rust stains), you canât really throw these things around. They just feel like one good thunk on concrete and they will crack.The plastic feels thin and I wonder how long it will be before they crack from repeated wear and tear and environmental breakdown.Donât store these in direct sunlight!!!For the money though, and the weight, they are on the light end, they are a great introductory set. Good for beginners and light warm ups, or rehab.Overall, Iâm happy with them so far.UPDATE: there is a seam that runs on the inside of the handles. On the 5lb KB, itâs virtually unnoticeable, the bigger the KB get however, the more noticeable the seam is. On the 20lb KB, the seam has a sharp edge and is very uncomfortable in the hands depending on the movement, you can really feel it.Iâm trying to figure out a way to maybe grind off the seam and fill it with bondo or maybe tape over the handles.
