    Excellent quality.
Works great. Easy to use. Beeps are loud enough for me to hear when running with my AirPods in listening to music. I can see the screen clear as day when I look at it. Not sure why other people are having such a hard time seeing it but also not sure why you need to look at it. That’s what the beeps are for. If you are working out staring at the time on a little screen you aren’t working out.

Umpires! Need a pitch clock? This is it.
Using this during high school varsity baseball umpiring for pitch clock enforcement. Set up with 12 sec and 8 sec alarms with 1 interval, no beep, loud vibrate. One button push to start, resets automatically after alarm, 1 button push to stop/reset before alarm. Better solution than Refsmart (dramatically smaller, easier to configure, no batteries to change, etc) at 25% the cost. While it was never designed for this use, I can see this easily and quickly taking over as the go-to pitch clock tool for many high school, JUCO, and lower level college umpires.

After 10 years…Same great product with a more rugged , polished and tech upgrade
I originally purchased my first Gymboss unit back in 2010. My wife and I used the interval “walk-run” setting to train for our first marathon. We used it so often, we purchased another one for a his and hers companion. Then life got in the way and I put consistent running sessions on a shelf for years. So the Gymboss units sat in a drawer. After some time of sitting dormant ,for at least 5 years, one of the units lost it ability to vibrate, which is my preferred alert. The other was loaned/given to a friend who wanted to do interval exercise routines. After getting back into running in the last month, I knew it was time to get a new Gymboss. The new unit has a sturdier and more durable look, fit and finish. It is also a more polished and refined appearance. It has the updated rechargeable battery and a very visible backlight digital display. The new unit works and performs just as it should. It really helps by reminding me to take my scheduled 30 second interval walk. Just enough time to recover for my next run interval. It is simple to program with the supplied directions. If you any difficulties with programing, there are numerous Youtube videos on “how to” for the Gymboss unit. It is a cheap and long lasting running companion that gives you the gentle reminder to not over do it. Conversely, it also reminds you to “get back at it”. I love this helpful little friend !

Great product but beware of losing small necessary plastic parts if bumped or dropped.
This is my third one in three years. It works fabulous … always dependable and easy to use and loud enough for a group to hear. My only concern with this product is the plastic end button that starts and shuts off the timer easily can fall out without any notice and can be easily lost … thus making the product basically useless.

    Simply does the job.
I use this to keep me honest while doing Physical Therapy reps. It also lets the trainer know when I’ve finished a rep so they can work with someone else until I “come up for air.” It is easy to change the setting to match what the trainer wants and I can set a beep so “everyone” knows where I’m at in the cycle or use the vibrate setting to keep things quiet. Love the rechargeable version. I’ve used this every day for a month and it still shows a full charge. Uses USB micro to recharge. Had an AAA cell version before and that worked the same way, but I think the Charge is worth the few extra $. The backlight comes on automatically when first activated and stays on if you are programming the intervals, but turns off while running. Makes it easy to set changing intervals on the fly. I keep one in my gym bag so I’ll always have it, and one at home for the days when I don’t have a PT session.

    Reliable
Have had this for 2 years. Easy long lasting charge. Easy programming of unit. I bought the band with it. Intermittent running/walking. Perfect.

  7. Corey Jones

    Cumbersome
Not the easiest to use and seems to have stopped functioning well after a year. Also not a fan of how bright the background light is if you catch the LED itself in your vision

Works, just hard to program on the fly if needed. Too Small
Used it for one training session with my students. It works, but is very difficult to change on the fly if adding in 2 more exercises into a circuit for example. Got annoying. I believe it can only be set up to do 9 intervals. Maybe 18 if you were doing short enough intervals that you could set the “rest” time to just be another interval back to back. I sent it back and got a remote controlled crossfit clock instead. 100% worth it. 10$ more or something, and SOO much easier to use! Way more intervals too. Up to 99!!!!I’m sure if you take the time to set this thing up properly to use when biking or rowing or something for intervals of bursting it could be very handy. It is LOUD though, so I would stick with the vibration alarm for everyone’s sanity sake, including yours. Unless, of course, you are going Very Hard during intervals and wouldn’t notice the vibrations. They are quite strong though.

Strumento ben fatto molto completo, carica molto duratura e retroilluminazione molto efficace e comoda ma l applique è poco funzionale e si sfila facilmente dagli abiti ! Quindi attenzione a non perderlo !

  10. John Brady

Feels like time has slowed down! Well worth getting one if you train for timed intervals – keeps you honest!Chose this one as I can’t be spending 200 odd on a clock for my garden, but actually impressed by it. LOUD on the loud beep setting, you’d hear it over a noisy gym if need be.
