I donât have anything negative to say about this particular product because it was referred to me from my older sister and she told me that sheâs been using it for years now for her osteoarthritis in her shoulders. When I developed the same thing I ordered right away and after three weeks I noticed that my shoulders were started to hurt less and less and I could actually sleep more and more! Iâm not saying that all my pain is completely gone but itâs truly a big difference in what Iâve been through before I started using it. I am an avid health researcher and spent a considerable amount of time scouring the internet searching for the 3:6 ratio and amounts of omega-3s deemed to be biologically optimal for people eating the standard American diet (SAD) and living in our toxic industrialized nation. My sources are scientific journal articles I read on PubMed. This Solgar formulation fits the bill.You need rather high amounts of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), and this formula derives them from fish sources. A study on the bio-equivalence of DHA from different algal oils found that, unlike fish-sourced oils, the bioavailability of DHA from vegetarian-sourced (algal) oils has not been formally assessed. This formulation has omega-3 EFAs from sardines, mackerel, and anchovies.The dosages of EPA and DHA found in this Solgar supplement are higher than any other commercially-sold supplement I have evaluated (approximately 20). To be maximally effective, I take two a day. The effects? On the days I take them regularly, my mood is euthymic; my sleep cycles are regulated and I don’t wake up in the middle of the night; my knee capsular joint pain is gone; and I can deal with stress effectively without having a meltdown. On the days I do not take them, the opposite occurs, and my moodiness comes back. If I fail to take them for weeks, which is when I will also forget to take my vitamin D, depression sets in. All of this is consistent with the research on the beneficial effects of omega-3 essential fatty acids in the diet. By the way, omega-6 fatty acids are plentiful in cooking oils which are ubiquitous in the SAD, so additional supplementation with those is generally unnecessary.

Top Shelf Omega-3
I like that these Omega 3’s are triple strength! I follow dosage instructions and take 2 daily to maximize all of the wonderful benefits of Omegas. They are fairly easy for me to swallow. On occasion I do have ‘fishy’ tasting burps but it isn’t too bad, really. I’m on my second bottle and have noticed some improvement in my joints and overall sense of well being. Will definitely continue to order the Solgar Triple Strength Omega-3 950 mg.

Check the contents on these. Not cheap, but they are legit. Same quantities as perscription, and way cheaper.
